Wire storage shelving was installed in the upper pantry to utilize all of the space. This makes for great options for storing seasonal items, containers and larger serving pieces that are used less often.

 “BEFORE” areas are congested, cluttered and confusing! The tendency to “pile-on- piles” is typical in most of the spaces due to time constraints for most.

The desire to be organized is common among all of us, sometimes it just dosen’t come easy or we don’t know where to start the process.  We are inspired by the storage options we see in container stores, read magazine articles and books on the subject, all hoping we can accomplish some organization in our homes.

One of the most important jobs can become drudgery when sorting laundry for the family. With piles of dirty clothes alongside the freshly laundered clothing, creating a space for family members’ clean clothes can be a challenge. Touch up ironing may be a thing of the past for some as steaming garments has become a household option and having a hanging space is essential. Space for sorting kids and adult clothes alike are placed in zones along the wall shelving. This enables even the smallest members of the family the ability to learn a new skill.

This space serves a double duty as a Mudroom for taking off and landing areas for family members. Backpacks, shoes and jackets can all be found and within easy reach.

While cleaning supplies are kept within reach of adults and clear of small children and pets, the seasonal items and bulk supplies are kept on the higher shelves. Based on frequency of use, these attractive storage bins are clearly labeled and can be retrieved when needed and placed on lower shelves for seasonal use.
